Hey everybody, I know it's been a verrry long time, but I have been very busy and forgot all about my little blog. :(

I just attended the TeenPact Washington state class and it was my second time going.( For those of you who have never gone, you are really missing out.) I learned a ton this week and one of the things that really struck deep was getting rid of the idols in your life. I tend to make idols out of a lot of things. And lately my most recent idols were pictures of artists and superstars plastered everywhere in my closet. It was almost like my little sanctuary. I would just go in there and gaze at them, and wish I could be like them and wish I could meet them. My bible was forgotten and I didn't really want to talk to God. I felt really convicted one night when the guest directer Steve Crum talked about getting rid of the idols in your life for the night devotion. I realized that I had been putting things that won't last before an eternal God. I also realized that if I wanted to grow closer to God and be more like him I had to get rid of those pictures and spend the time I would have spent looking at them with him. He deserved way more time than no time at all or a couple minutes here and there throughout the week. He needed my focus to be on him throughout the entire day. When I got back, I threw away the pictures in my closet and instead  put up inspiring quotes that I had taken while I was at TeenPact. I have felt so free, and have enjoyed spending at least 45 minutes of my day reading his word and he feels so close to me now.  And it's not like I am finding time to read his word but not really enjoying it and it's kind of blah. Everyday I want to spend time with him. My favorite part of my day is reading his word and praising him. He is so faithful and he never gives up on any of us. Let me tell you. getting rid of the idols in my life was totally worth it. So I have a challenge for you. Find out what the idols in your life are. Get rid of them. And see where God takes you. A friend of mine shared this verse with me and it is so true. It has become one of my favorite passages.

"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are of above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you  also will appear with him in glory."

I am going to miss Jimmy Brazell . Although I only knew him a short while, he is one who is going to be remembered forever. He truly lived life to the fullest and glorified God in all he did. He inspired a lot of people including me and never stopped encouraging.

I love this part!! :)

Rapunzel: We made it.
Flynn Rider: Her hair glows!
Rapunzel: We're alive. We're alive!
Flynn: I didn't see that coming.
Rapunzel: Eugene.
Flynn: The hair actually glows.
Rapunzel: Eugene.
Flynn: Why does her hair glow!
Rapunzel: Eugene!
Flynn: [almost in hysteria] What?
Rapunzel: It doesn't *just* glow.
Flynn: Why is he smiling at me?

love this

“I’m looking for a book… something that can help me deal with what might be an awkward situation. Something funny might be nice, but not necessarily big, ‘ha, ha, ha,’ ‘laugh, laugh, laugh’ funny, and certainly not make-fun-of-other-people funny but rather something human-funny. And, uh, if it could uh, sneak up on you, surprise you, and at the same time make you think that what you thought wasn’t only right, in a wrong kind of way, but when you’re wrong, there’s a certain rightness in your wrongness… Well, what I mean is, more importantly, I’m looking to be swept up! And at the same time, not.”

—Marie from Dan in real life

Beautiful King,
has anybody seen
Your glory unfold?
You walk up to me
with sparks in Your eyes,
You brighten my world

And You'll always be my only One.
You're the only God I'll ever love
because...

Every word that you say
wields the beauty of angels.
Every smile is arrayed
with a joy like wedding bells.
It's my heart you hold.
Of your mystery I sing.
I will stand and behold
my Beautiful King

Love of my soul,
with power untold,
who is like you?
Lamb that was slain,
my God, You reign
in victory and truth.

And I'll follow You all my days.
And I'll give to You every single thing.
I hand everything over...

Every word that You say
wields the beauty of angels.
Every smile is arrayed
with a joy like wedding bells.
It's my heart You hold.
Of your mystery i sing.
I will stand and behold
my Beautiful King.

And time flies by.
We're not standing alone.
Every word that You say,
Father, let it be known.
I fall so fast
without You by my side.
Let Your beauty be seen

It irks me when I see kombucha on the grocery store shelf with a sign under it saying "Attention, must be at least 21 years old". :P

Spring!

It's nice out today!! I am so excited for spring and summer!
The kids went outside yesterday, and I decided to join them. What we ended up doing was going down to the creek and getting muddy and then getting rid of some brambles down by the pond.
The flowers are starting to come out!! we have some Yellow violets, bleeding hearts, trilliums, candy flower and a couple wild roses. Not to mention the grass is getting all green. I like springy weather! :)

spring break.

It's spring break this week!! and guess what? I'm behind in school! (surprise) so I have do school through it. I guess though, I have had a lot of little breaks here and there cause we have been sick a lot this year. I don't really mind school though, as long as I don't have to take tests. But I don't think that dream will ever come true. ;) anyway...
Have a spectacular week!

I'm a teacher! ;)

Okay so my student Abigail came for her lesson today and she and her mom are both very nice. She is very cute and has blonde hair and an enlarged vocabulary. :) There is some good news and some bad news. ;) The bad new is that my cheeks got bright red, I spoke too fast, and I taught her two more things than I should have. The good news is that her mom put me right at ease and I will be seeing my teacher on Thursday. (She helps me, and gives me ideas.) But as time goes on I will get more comfortable. I am glad to have the first lesson over with and now I have some time to decide what i will do at her next lesson. Oh, and I think I was also nervous because I had never met them until they came for their lesson. And now I shall go sledding. :D

Snow!

I went to Ethan's viola lesson today as usual on my way to my YSE rehearsal( I have a concert Saturday!!) and in between ethans lesson and orchestra Ethan and went into Fred Myer to buy some of their warm bread to eat as a snack. well... the bread turned out to be cold and Ethan and i surprised mom who just thought we were getting yogurt and bread by getting chocolate and Parmesan gold fish.:)On the way out of the store, Ethan had to jump into a huge puddle(surprise!) and get me soaking wet. so... I had to go to YSE soaking wet. haha. we got a good laugh out of it though! :D And after the rehearsal wa done we were getting ready to go upstairs to theory when mom surprised me by saying we had two inches of snow and had to get home right away!!!!! My joy was uncontainable. I love snow!!! So dad met us on the back roads and on the third try we got up our slippery hill!! And no I did not scream as we slid backwards. And the lights are flickering so I better go!

YAY!!!!

Earlier this week a lady from FCHM, which is our co-op, emailed the first class chat group and asked if anybody knew of a christian highschooler who could give her daughter Abigail violin lessons. Mom and I emailed her back right away and said I would love to!! After that we emailed back and forth a couple times and tonight we called her and set up a date! I am going to teach Abigail this Tuesday at 3:30. :) I am going to give her a couple trial lessons to see if we would be a good fit and let her borrow some of my music books so she doesn't have to buy anything until we are sure. I am really excited and thankful that God has given me a job besides housecleaning, which I did for a while. She also said she was going to pass my name on to a couple of her friends who are looking for a teacher also. Praise Jesus!! Have a wonderful night!! :)

#1 random fact of the day: planes take off into the wind. until today i had no idea. never had really thought about it either.one would think an airplane would take off with the wind. or at least i would. ;)

Psalm 32:1 " Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

Psalm 103:1 " Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!

"My sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul,

And Lord haste the day when my faith shall be sight
And the clouds be rolled back as a scroll
The trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend
Even so, it is well with my soul"

The Brook

"I come from haunts of coot and hern, I make a sudden sally, and sparkle out among the fern, To bicker down a valley.
By thirty hills I hurry down, or slip between the ridges, By twenty thorps, a little town, and half a hundred bridges.
'Till last by Phillips farm I flow, to join the brimming river, for men may come and men may go , but I go on forever.
I chatter over stony ways, in little sharps and trebles, I bubble into eddying bays, I babble on the pebbles.
With many a curve my banks I fret by many a field and fallow, and many a fairy foreland set, with willow-weed and mallow.
I chatter, chatter, as I flow to join the brimming river, for men may come and men may go but I go on forever.
I wind about , in and out, with here a blossom sailing, and here and there a lusty trout, and here and there a grayling.
And here and there a foamy flake upon me,as I travel, with many a silvery water-break above the golden gravel.

I steal by lawns and grassy plots, I slide by hazel covers; I move the sweet forget-me-nots that grow for happy lovers.
I slip, I slide, I gloom, I glance, among my skimming swallows;I make the netted sunbeams dance against my sandy shallows.
I murmur under moon and stars, in brambly wildernesses;I linger by my shingly bars, I loiter round my cresses;
And out again I curve and flow, to join the brimming river, for men may come and men may go but i go on forever."

The Lady of Shalott

"There she weaves by night and day a sacred web with colors gay. And moving through a window clear that stands before her all the year, young lads of the world appear, there she sees the highway near, winding down to Camelot. There the river eddy whirls, and the surly village churls and the red cloaks of market girls pass onward from Shalott. Sometimes a troop of damsels glad, an abbot on an ambling pad, sometimes a curly shepherd lad or long- haired page in crimson clad goes by to Camelot. And sometimes through the window blue the knights come riding two by two. She hath no loyal knight and true the Lady of Shalott."
